Each year we have over 70 golfers from a wide variety of classes as well as students, administrators, teachers and friends of ACHS. If you are not a golfer, consider joining us for dinner.

FRIDAY, JULY 30

Tours of the High School
11 am – 2 pm (no charge)
One of the most popular and well-attended events of our all-class reunions! Self-guided tour – current ACHS students and others will be available for questions and directions. We hope to have a good turnout of retired and current teachers as well. Join us at the flagpole at 12 pm for a special kickoff to the weekend events.

Choral Reading in Auditorium
8 am – 12 noon
No charge for public | Participants must register ($35 fee) Hundreds of alumni will gather to sight read through about 50 sacred and secular pieces, including music from past operettas performed at Amherst. This is the third choral reading chaired by John Roberts ’64, with Walter Reitz, Sue Fay Allen, Roger Wilhelm ’55, Neil Hamlin ’64,Marilyn Obermeyer ’64 and others directing. Alumni Art Show and Sale
11am – 2pm (no charge)
The first annual Alumni Art Show and Sale will be held on the school’s front lawn (weather permitting; if inclement weather, it will be held inside). Alumni are encouraged to donate one or more pieces of their
original fine art, prints or photos and attend the event. Artwork should be matted and/or framed. Artists are asked to donate all or a percentage of sale to the Alumni Foundation. Setup will be done by the 80th Anniversary Committee – artists are asked to drop off or send their artwork (along with brochures and/or business cards) and the registration form in this packet before July 10 to Kathy Hens Zuppa ’78. Antique Car Show
11 am – 2 pm (no charge)
Due to the enormous success and interest in the Antique Car Show during the 75th Anniversary Celebration in 2005, we have decided to bring it back! Chaired byMarilyn Obermeyer ’64 and RogerWare ’50, the show will be held on the front lawn of the High School. Cocktail Party
7 pm – 10 pm
$35 per person/cash bar
Join us for a casual cocktail party at the beautiful Center for the Arts on the University of Buffalo Amherst Campus. Plenty of free parking available. The rest of the evening is free for individual classes to continue at other locations. Brunner’s or Loughran’s, anyone?!
