Michael L. Barnes, 74, of Wooster, Ohio, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013, at his home. He was born December 21, 1938, in Anderson, Indiana, the son of Dwight and Doris Shippy Barnes, and married Polly Mitten on February 24, 1962. She survives. He had worked in retail management, was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Wooster, Ohio, were he was a member of the Vestry. He had previously lived in Dowling Park and St. Petersburg, Florida. Surviving in addition to his wife, was a son, Michael L. Barnes II of Wooster, and a brother, Leo Barnes of St. Petersburg, Florida. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Abigail Lee Barnes.
