Sue was a consumate musician.  I remember what an excellent pianist she was, how beautifully she sang, and that she was a terrific conductor of the Sweet Sixteens.  I always enjoyed being in that group, and a large part of the reason was due to Susan's expert leadership.  She selected interesting music, lead us in learning it well, and with her charm and intelligence directed us as excellent representatives of Amherst every time we performed our many concerts.  I'm delighted to know she continued on as a musician in her adult life.  Wish I could have heard her then.

I have fond memories of going to Susan's house after school, sitting in the 60's green leatherette  booth-like kitchen nook, eating cereal and practicing for math tests. Somehow, she made math interesting and even fun for me. Bless her heart.
