Robert age 80, passed away peacefully at his home on July 23, 2017 after a long-term illness. He was born October 30, 1936 in Buffalo, New York to Joseph C. & Marion M. Betz. Bob met Maureen E. McMahon, in Ellicottville, New York and were married in Buffalo, New York in June of 1966. Robert (Bob - who everyone knew him by), loved his family and friends dearly. He was always willing to help out in any way he could - and loved his fellow man. He enjoyed the stock market, and he loved dogs (especially his last dog "Autumn"), skiing, traveling, living in Florida during the summer months, and creating good times with his family and friends. He worked in the automotive industry for 37 years and started with AMC in Buffalo back in the 1960s and retired from Chrysler in 2004 in Sales/Finance in Auburn Hills, MI. He was also an usher at St. Patrick Church in Brighton for 25 years. He was a member for the Knights of Columbus. Bob is survived by his beloved wife Maureen Betz (married 51 years), his daughter Susan (Jeff) Skinner and their daughter Gabrielle Skinner; brothers Tom (Sue) Betz and Joel (Theodora) Betz; and sister Joan Krathaus. He will be dearly missed - but remains in our hearts.

A Catholic Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated in memory of Bob at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 711 Rickett Road, Brighton MI 48116, on Saturday, July 29, at 10:30 A.M. Receiving of friends beginning at 9:30 A.M. at the church.
