Audrey C. Hurd, of Amherst, entered into rest on July 16, 2022 at age 84. Loving daughter of the late George and Cecelia Hurd; dear sister of W. Russell (Lynda) Hurd, the late George S. Hurd and the late Phyllis M. Liston; also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Audrey graduated from Albany State Teachers College and earned master’s degrees from the University at Buffalo and Syracuse University. She taught English and reading for many years in the Buffalo Public Schools. Audrey was a cellist and longtime member of the Amherst Symphony Orchestra. She was an avid traveler, skier, ballroom and jitterbug dancer and musician. Services private.
