Daughter ,Sister, Aunt, Mother,Grandmother, Great Grandmother

Jean Carol Newcomb passed away December 26. 2020 with her family by her side. She suffered a long battle with diabetes and CHF. Jean was a loyal friend and she loved all animals from her horse Mischief to her squawking macaw RI0. She had many dogs and cats and fish in between She loved all animals and was known to take in stray animals and even a few people too! Jean had a loving welcoming loyal heart for those who loved her. She spent over 20 years as a bus driver for special needs children in the Klein Independent School District and she considered the children she worked with as family and looked forward to seeing them everyday. She also met a lot of lifelong friends while working with Klein. Ruth, Sharon, Rita, Barbara Jean and the gang would meet up for lunch for birthdays and special occasions, That was one of the highlights of her days, Thank you to all that made it possible. Jean had great friends like Judy Welker and her husband Pete from New Jersey and friends to the end like Geri and her husband Len from California. She was so blessed to have such wonderful friends! Jean is survived by her eldest sister Faye Campbell of San Francisco, Her neice Darcy Campbell of San Francisco and her great niece Zoe from New York. She had two children Chris Newcomb who passed before her several years ago. She is also survived by her daughter Lisa Batchelor, Son in law Charles Batchelor of Spring, Texas, Grandsons ; Michael Salazar of Houston, Brandon Webster, wife Catherine and great granddaughter Arahlee Webster. She is also survived by her granddaughter Ashley Batchelor-Jones. She will be missed by all and gladly remembered for her quick whit and sense of humor. A special thank you to both Shawn Mayzen, Charles Batchelor and Providence Healthcare for making her final days be so special. May she rest in Peace! Jean requested no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, Please consider a donation to the Houston SPCA or the American Heart Association in her honor.
