Henry David Lefcourt - Class Of 1982

It is with great sorrow that we say goodbye to Henry David Lefcourt, who passed away January 21, 2017 at the age of 52.

Henry is survived by his parents, Charles Lefcourt and Renata Lefcourt, Amherst, NY; wife, Yolanda Lefcourt, Keller, TX; son, Samuel Lefcourt, Keller, TX; sister Yvonne Lefcourt (Daniel Yacobush), Buffalo NY, and sister Suzanne Harris (Blaine Harris), Sintra, Portugal.

Henry Lefcourt was born May 8, 1964 in Bremen, Germany and grew up in Amherst, NY. He graduated from New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University in 1987 with a BA of Fine Arts, and from St. Mary’s University of San Antonio in 1993 with a Masters degree in International Relations and Economics.

Henry served in the U.S. Army from 1989-2001, serving active duty in Saudi Arabia 1989-1991 during Operation Desert Storm. In 1995 he started working at Health Management Systems as a Business Analyst in New York City. Over his 21 year career with HMS, he was promoted to Senior Business Analyst and Director of TPL, Data and Payment Integrity, and relocated to Keller when the company moved to Irving in 2004.

Henry married Yolanda Johnson in 2003. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, and brother who was known to friends and co-workers for his kindness, sense of humor, honesty, and intelligence. He had a warm smile and a friendly word for everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. Henry's 14-year-old son, Samuel, is a matriculated, Honors Program college student at Southern Methodist University. He was very proud of his son.

A funeral is scheduled for Friday, January 27 at 2pm at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas. Rabbi Allen Podet will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Henry’s life.
