Paul Olchvary Obituary

Age 58. Devoted father of Akosh; beloved son of Ildiko; loving brother of Peter and brother-in-law of Karen; cherished companion of Gloria Calderón-Saenz. Paul passed away suddenly at his home on February 14, 2024. He grew up in Buffalo, NY and earned a B.A. in English from SUNY at Buffalo and an M.A. in English/Writing from Indiana University, Bloomington. Paul lived in Hungary for 10 years and returned to the US, eventually settling in Williamstown, MA. He worked as a reporter, writer, translator, publisher, and teacher. Paul loved the outdoors and time with friends, family, colleagues, and his students. He was loved by many. Memorial services for Paul are being held in Buffalo, NY.
