Alfred Flessel Jr. - Class Of 1960

Flessel - Alfred E., Jr.
Age 79, of Wheatfield, New York, Tuesday, May 11, 2021 in Buffalo General Hospital. Alfred was born in Buffalo, NY on March 10, 1942 to Alfred E. and Vera (Wolfe) Flessel. Al retired from the North Tonawanda Fire Department after 33 years of service, served as Coroner for Niagara County, Dist. 2 for 13 years, Master Mason at Sutherland Lodge #826, volunteer at Sweeney Hose Company #7, member of Volunteer Benevolent Association of North Tonawanda, North Tonawanda Firefighter's Local 1333, Dom Polski Social Club, Buffalo Aero Club, the Niagara county Sheriff's Department mounted division five years, also was a peace officer, and past president of the New York State Association of County Coroners and Medical Examiners. Al's true passion was the media director at Creekside Assembly of God in Amherst. Al is survived by his beloved wife Linda (Hess-Fox) Flessel; father of Alfred III, Terri (Miki) Bitter, Darlene (Kenny) Bruce, Kimberly (Douglas) Mahr, and Darryl (April) Fox; Brother of the late Marilyn (Raymond) Mesmer; grandfather of Willy, Rory, Tyler, Alfred IV, Jenna, Luca, Michael, Shawn, Joseph, Luke, Joshua, Sydney, Phoenix, Liam, Michael and Justin; loving great-grandfather of Millie, Bo, Aurora, Avery and Jakob. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family, a Celebration of Al's Life will be held May 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM, from Creekside assembly of God, 2625 Tonawanda Creek Road, Amherst, New York 14228.
