In Memory Alumni

David Gresens

David Yale Gresens, 76, of Peachtree City, GA: died on July 08, 2017 at his home surrounded by family, following a 16-year battle with Multiple Myeloma cancer. He was born in Perry, N.Y. on July 13, 1940 and was very active in high school basketball, football and track & field. David and Margie met in college and both are graduates from Brockport State University in 1962. He obtained his Master’s degree in the Science field. David and Margie lived in Clarence, N.Y. where Dave was an AP Science educator and enjoyed his time with the Backpacking Club at Amherst Central High School, N.Y. He was very well read and loved his many books, but it was with his family where he shared his love of gardening, running, skiing and sailing at Conesus Lake where decades of unforgettable memories were made, and flying (where he also obtained his pilot’s license). They moved to Peachtree City, GA after retirement in 1995 and Holt, MI in 1999 to be closer to family and to be a full-time grandfather. Extensive traveling was another hobby enjoyed by both and they had great fun and wonderful memories visiting places such as: South America, Alaska, Hawaii, Belize, Australia, New Zealand and Chamonix, France.

The Gresens and Cyze (sp?) team were like a two man comedy team - providing instruction that was both stimulating and entertaining and kept us all engaged.  I have many fond memories of their classes.  Rest in peace Mr Gresens.
