Gail was born in Buffalo, NY, and attended Amherst High School where she met her future husband, Bill. She attained undergraduate degrees in Economics and Math, and a Master's degree in Business at Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh. She went to work at Medtronic, at that time a fledgling pacemaker company in Minneapolis where she remained for 9 years contributing to the development of the first implantable pain control device. She also made many close friends in Minneapolis, both at work and while running several marathons & completing a triathlon. In 1986 she dutifully followed her husband's career to Orlando. Here she switched careers to Motherhood, raising three boys. She found joy and satisfaction immersing herself in the education of her sons. She freely gave her time and energy to the schools her boys attended, touching the lives of many children as: part-time teacher, math tutor, reading coach & volunteer. She will be remembered for her unassuming approach to getting important things done, her directness when needed, and her unwillingness to accept the credit she deserved. Gail is survived by her three fine sons, Thomas, Anthony and Michael; her brother, Richard; and her loving high school sweetheart & husband, Bill. A celebration of Gail's life is planned for Jan. 11th. In lieu of flowers, Gail has requested donations be made to Florida Suncoast Hospice. The arrangements are under direction of internationalfuneralhome.com, in Clearwater.
