Age 95, of Hamburg, New York, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025. Born on February 16, 1930, in Buffalo, New York, Rita was the daughter of William and Elizabeth Schneegold. She graduated from Amherst Central High School and went on to study Interior Design at Villa Maria College. Rita was a proud member of Mensa International and found great fulfillment in teaching English to children in Taichung, Taiwan-a highlight of her life. She was also an accomplished seamstress, painter, and quilter, and enjoyed participating in her local golf league. Known for always having her camera at the ready, Rita delighted in capturing moments with those around her. She especially treasured time spent with her grandchildren and the many adventures they shared. Rita is lovingly remembered by her four children: Bonnie (late Raymond) Cienek, Denise Scull, Susan (Luke Moretti) Scull, and Norman (Janice) Scull; her four grandchildren; a great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her cherished grandchild Tyler Scull and her brothers William, Donald, and Robert Schneegold. Rita's love for life and devotion to family will be remembered by all who knew her.
