Ed Shuttleworth (1960)
I knew Jon for many years in Amherst and his Sister Sandy. Their Mom made GREAT homemade soups and I got the delight to have some a number of times at their home. I left Amherst in 1962 after 2 years at UB and moved with family to California. I did go back to Amherst a couple times years later, but did not connect. I went into USAF OTS in 1967 and was off around the world for some time. After my return to USA in 1971 I was able to get together with Russ Runnalls, Denny Grotke, Steve Welch and Bill Marion. We have continued to get togeher regularly over the past years, both on ZOOM as well as occassional in-person visits. We lost Bill Marion (Maratta) about 10 years ago and Steve Welch last year. We three that remain are in largely separated states, but we do a Zoom meeting about every 2 to 3 weeks. It is great to have such incredible friends for the better part of our lifetimes. Jon and sister Sandy were well known by all of us.
Condolences to the Family and the many relatives and friends that knew him.
God Love you Jon and we will all meet again in Heaven.
