Earl (Buddy) Kammerer - Class Of 1973

Earl “Bud” Kammerer Jr., age 69, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024. Bud was a kind, gentle, andconsiderate person who was beloved by his family and friends.He was a valued employee of Wegmans FoodMarkets for more than 20 years. After his mother, Bernadine, passed away in 1997, Bud moved from Floridaback to Buffalo to live with and take loving care of his father, Earl Sr. Bud took care of his father until Earl Sr.’sdeath in 2022, at the age of 99, never asking for help and never complaining. Bud was a gardener with agreen thumb! He grew vegetables that he would share with family and friends. The front yard of the familyhome on Lorfield Drive in Amherst, N.Y., showcased a colorful array of flowers every summer.
Bud was a music expert whose knowledge was encyclopedic. He loved to share music with others. Heburned hundreds of CDs from his vinyl collection and knew seemingly every musician, every band and itsmembers, and their history. He personally had a collection of traditional blues and rock and roll music. Hewas interested in all musical genres and types of artists, including Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong, whowere favorites of his father. He took loving care of his car, which was always freshly waxed and spotless. Anavid sports fan, Bud loved NASCAR, baseball and the New York Yankees, and of course, the Buffalo Bills!
