John Jeffrey Downing (1963)

I remember Vinny as being almost too nice of a person.  Vinny always had a smile and was a pleasure to be around.  I can also remember when I would visit my friend Biff Benchley who lived around the corner from Vinny we could always hear Vinny practicing his drums.  Loved to hear him playing his drums, he was fantastic.

To echo Jeff's remarks, indeed Vinny was a polite and friendly guy...Always a smile and quick to laugh...As for his percussion skills, the only word I can think of to describe those moments when he would be performing is "Wow!" ...What an amazing drummer and what a treat to witness and hear!...With his loss, the days following are a wee bit darker for those of us who knew, respected and admired him!...RIP Vince!
