December 30, 2021, of Buffalo, NY, at age 66. Beloved husband of 44 yrs to Sabrina Vircillo-Franke; devoted father of Marlena (John) Franke-Sbriglia; son of the late Ronald and Janet Franke; loving grandfather to Sofia and Gabriella Sbriglia; brother to David (Elizabeth) Franke and John (Elizabeth) Franke; also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews. Private services will be held in the spring. Robert was dedicated to the Buffalo community, most notably by serving as executive director of Forever Elmwood and the Grant-Ferry Association. The family requests remembrances be made in the form of contributions to Jericho Road Health Center or Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
