Gery was the older brother of my kindest friend, James Wratten. I had many visits to their house on Huxley Drive, and Gary was always generous with a friendly greeting and a smile. He became a doctor and died while serving as a medical officer in Vietnam, a great loss to his family and to his own caring future. His is the first name I look for on the Vietnam Wall in Washington.
