Tasha Nowakowski (Nadjimzadah) - Class Of 1990

Tasha E. Nadjimzadah, nursing unit supervisor May 10, 1972 -- Feb. 25, 2010

Tasha E. Nadjimzadah, a nursing unit supervisor who lived several years in Europe, died unexpectedly Thursday in her Amherst home. She was 37.

The former Tasha Nowakowski was born in Buffalo and graduated from Amherst Central High School and earned a bachelor's degree in nursing, graduating summa cum laude from D'Youville College.

She lived and worked in Scotland, Switzerland, France and, eventually Germany, where she met and married her former husband, Hamed Nadjimzadah, who survives. In Europe she was a chemistry tutor.

After living in Germany for several years, Ms. Nadjimzadah returned to the United States and worked as a nursing supervisor for Pralid Inc., based in the Rochester area.

Returning to the Buffalo area in 2008, Ms. Nadjimzadah worked for Baker Victory Homes and the Weinberg Campus in Getzville. Most recently, she worked with the McGuire Group at Seneca Health Care Center.

Her mother, Venecia Nowakowski, said her daughter was known for her outgoing personality and giving heart. She also enjoyed skiing, traveling, fashion and music.

Survivors also include a son, Arian; and two brothers, James Nowakowski and William Nowakowski.
