In Memory Alumni

John Dwyer - Class Of 1973

Charles's obituary

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Charles "Chuck" Dwyer, who departed this life on May 17, 2023. Chuck Dwyer was born in Buffalo, NY on January 2nd, 1957 to parents John and Mary Dwyer.  Chuck was the second youngest of five siblings; Joan, Judy, John "Jay", and Maureen "Moe".

Chuck will be dearly missed by his beloved children, Megan McCune and Michael Dwyer, who were the light of his life. His unconditional love and unwavering support for them brought immense joy and meaning to his existence.

Those who knew him best, had the privilege of calling him Charlie. Chuck lived a life full of laughter, love, and generosity. A talented individual, he had a gift for making those around him laugh with his clever wit and keen sense of humor. His caring and generous personality endeared him to many, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the fortune of knowing him. He was an avid golfer, a one-time scratch handicap with multiple hole in ones. He enjoyed the camaraderie of the golf course and local restaurants where he had a knack for making life-long friends.

In honor of Chuck Dwyer's memory, a Celebration of Life will be held on June 25, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Glen Park Tavern. Friends and family are invited to gather and share cherished memories of Chuck, remembering the laughter and love he brought into the lives of so many. In true Chuck fashion he has requested a "first class only" celebration, sharing our favorite memories of his life over a drink... or five.

As we bid farewell to Chuck, we will forever cherish his legacy of laughter, love, and generosity. May his memory continue to bring joy and warmth to all who knew and loved him.
