Mitchell Kerling - Class Of 1973

Mitchell C. Kerling, resident of Bliss NY, passed away on Father's Day, June 21 2020, surrounded by his loved
ones, in his home at the age of 65.
Mitch was born August 9, 1954 in Hutchinson, KS to Elvira “Pat” (Terenzini) Kerling of East Aurora and the late
Allen F. Kerling.
Mitchell graduated early from Amherst High School in January 1972 and was a football enthusiast.
Mitch worked many years at Tapecon in Buffalo as a master emboss labeler, in which he took great pride.
Mitch’s interests include family, especially his grandchildren, Violet and Nathan. He also enjoyed bird watching,
supporting live local concerts, as well as food festivals and Buffalo sports teams. He enjoyed spending time with
friends on the golf course and had an appreciation of fine art. He also enjoyed range shooting. He will be greatly
missed by all who have had the pleasure in knowing him.
He is survived by his mother; his two beautiful daughters: Amanda (Nicholas) Austin of Strykersville and Emily
(Jacob Darling) Kerling of Hamburg; his grandchildren: Nathan and Violet Austin; his siblings: Leslie (Robert)
Porto of Buffalo, Dawn (Alan) Davis of East Aurora, Susan Kerling of Honeoye, David (Rose) Kerling of
Cheektowaga and Jeanie Rae Kerling of East Aurora; also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and
cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father.
There will be no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be
held in Strykersville Cemetery.
