Adele Thomas (Becker) - Class Of 1947

ECKER - Adele (nee Thomas)
Died Friday 12/3/21 in her Williamsville home surrounded by her loving family. She was 92. Born Virginia Adele Thomas in Buffalo in 1929, she graduated from Amherst High School in 1947 and graduated from the Albright Art School in 1950. She was a member of the Buffalo Society of Artists and was a founding member of the Western New York Artists Group. Her artwork has been included in exhibitions and galleries across the United States and is in permanent collections such as the Burchfield-Penney Art Center and the Castellani Art Museum. Adele has received numerous awards and positive critical acclaim. More about her work and her career can be found at adelebecker.com. Mrs. Becker was an active member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church for most of her life, and more recently joined St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Harold Becker; son Donald (Kazumi); daughter Judy (James Marvin); grandchildren Brooke (Jeremiah), Marley (Amanda), Lorelle (Nicholas), Bryan (Jennifer) and Brad (Bryanne), and four great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 7th, at 11 AM at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 3201 Main Street, Buffalo.
