Peter Welker - Class Of 1956

David Peter Welker, 82, a resident of Caroga Lake, N.Y., passed away Monday, October 12, 2020 in Stratton, VT.

Pete was born in Buffalo, N.Y. on May 30, 1938, the son of the late Ervin and Charlotte LeBeau Welker and attended Amherst, N.Y. schools.

Pete earned his bachelor degree from Wagner College in Staten Island, N.Y. and received his masters degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ.

Pete spent his working career in Pharmaceutical Sales.

He served as chairman of the zoning board of appeals in Caroga Lake, N.Y., was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Johnstown, N.Y., and a member of the Mohawk Valley Chorus. Pete enjoyed playing golf, loved boating, never forgot his Buffalo roots, took several trips throughout Europe, and the United States including Alaska. Pete cherished times spent with his family, especially his three grandchildren.

Pete is survived by his wife, Judith Warr Welker of Caroga Lake, N.Y., whom he married December 27, 1960 in New Brunswick, NJ; sons William Welker (Kristine) of Hartsdale, N.Y. and Daniel Welker of Somerset, NJ; and his grandchildren Madison, Peyton and Willie Welker.

Celebration of life services for Pete will be announced at a later date.
