Obituary of Virginia "Ginger" K. Paul

Virginia "Ginger" K. Paul, 78, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 31, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Buffalo, New York.

Ginger moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana with her husband Peter Paul, after they wed in 1964. Ginger graduated from Amherst High School, Buffalo, NY 1960, and received her BS in Physical Education from Brockport State University of New York 1964. Ginger went on to receive her Master’s degree in Education from Indiana University. She taught Physical Education for 30 years, retiring from EACS. She received the Golden Apple teaching award, was a devoted sponsor of cheerleading squads and mentor to numerous students including sport team members. Ginger held her private pilot’s license since 1969, loved her Sebring Convertible, golfing, laughing, and travel. She traveled to all 50 states with her husband, as well as, Europe, New Zealand, and Australia, which included holding a Koala Bear named Chuck. She was an avid Buffalo Bills football fan and recently completed and published a very extensive genealogy book for her family of photos and stories. Ginger was a devoted loving wife, mom, sister, aunt, cousin, grandmother and friend. Surviving, are her husband, of 56 years, Pete of Fort Wayne; her daughter, Sandy (Rich) Bennett of Grand Rapids, MI; her two sons, Brett (Tashon) Paul of Roanoke, IN, Blaine (Stacey) Paul of Indianapolis; her two very special grandchildren, Logan, and Brynn Paul of Indianapolis; and a brother, John (Carolyn) Knapp of Spring Hill, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents Marian and John Knapp.

There will be a private family memorial in the spring.
