Of Lancaster, NY passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025. She was born in Buffalo, New York and was the youngest of two. Lana was a loving wife to Richard David Ricupito and was married May 22,1971. Surviving is her brother, Ben Derbsch (Margaret) of Laguna Hills, CA. Surviving in addition to her brother are her two children, Jeffrey (Camille) of Corona, CA, and Mark (Julie) of Batavia, NY and 3 grandchildren, Andrew, Ryan, and Kate. She grew up in Amherst and graduated from Amherst High School. She was formerly employed at Niagara Mohawk at the Electric Building in downtown Buffalo, and then held various jobs including clerical at Orchard Park Family Practice, as well as a teacher’s aide in Corona, CA. She cherished the time with her sons and grandchildren and all of their travels around the country and abroad. Lana loved spending time with all of her friends and doing dinner theaters, concerts in the park and get-togethers. She spent 10 wonderful years in California, living near her son and brother. Lana will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family wishes to express gratitude for all the support that she has received from her friends this past year and the support her family has received these last few difficult days.
