Of East Amherst, NY. Husband of Sandra Ruff. Father of Kimberly (Brian) Kern. Loving Grandfather of Madison and Andi. John was a 32 year Town of Amherst Employee, a member of the Eggertsville Hose Co, and the FJ Donovan Post. John served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam war. Family will receive visitation on Wednesday 4-7 PM at Perna-Dengler Roberts Funeral Home, 1671 Maple Road. Flowers gratefully declined. Please consider donations to the SPCA of Erie County. We have already lost too many of our classmates so every time I read of another loss it saddened me greatly. I didn't know John well in High School but reading about his service to our Country in Vietnam and within his community it makes me proud that he was one of us! My prayers are for his family and friends at this sad time.
