Gary J. Grosicki passed away peacefully at his home in Fairfax Station, Virginia on Sunday, August 5, 2018. He was the loving husband of his wife Topaz Grosicki, and devoted father to his three children: Gregory Grosicki (Briana), Kevin Grosicki and Lauren McKee and three step children: Rose Schepps (Dylan), Topher Freer-Lancaster and Cedar Freer-Lancaster. He is also lovingly remembered by his sister Susan Loman (Mike) and nephew Mike Loman, Jr and nieces Lisa Loman Bentley (Scott), Megan Loman and Kelly Loman. He will be happily remembered for his quick wit and great sense of humor at family gatherings.

Gary was born in Buffalo, NY. to John and Dorothy Grosicki and graduated from Northwestern University with a BS in Nuclear Engineering (1980) and served his country as a Naval Submarine Officer and later as a senior manager of a defense contracting firm. Later in life, Gary served Fairfax County as a science teacher at Cooper Middle School and Science Department Chair at WT Woodson High School, and as a Vice Principal for Science and Technology at Thomas Jefferson High School; after earning two Master's Degrees from George Mason University in Educational Leadership and Administration (2016) and a Masters of Science in Operations Research and Management (1989).

A memorial service will be held on August 18, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 9902 Braddock Rd, Fairfax, VA.
