Age 84, of Eggertsville, NY died peacefully. An only child, she was born September 7, 1939, in Buffalo, to Howard and Viola McAtee. She graduated from Amherst High School in 1957 and worked briefly at the Wurlitzer Company. Lois enjoyed boating, earned her Captain's license, and served as the Skipper to the Women's Associates to the Buffalo Power Squadron for several years. She also spent a decade volunteering as a Girl Scout Leader. Lois is survived by her husband of 60 years, Walter R. Ganter; daughters, Lori Moses, Karen Ganter, and Gwen Cich; grandchildren, Ryan (Ashley) and Erin Moses, Chloe, Benjamin and Jacob Cich (Molly); great-grandchild, Kennedy Moses and step great-grandchild, Alexia Sams. A private graveside service was held at the Hartland Central Cemetery in Gasport, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
