JUNG - John D.

Of Amherst, NY, age 95, entered into rest June 6, 2017. Born in Buffalo, NY on March 23, 1922, he was the son of the late Dr. Daniel and Elsa Jung;

beloved husband of the late Jeanne K. Jung; loving father of John D. III and Tracey Beth (John Moultrup) Jung. John D. graduated from Amherst Central High School and then entered Colgate University. He then served in the 101st Airborne Infantry Army as a medic in the European Theater. After a honorable discharge from the military, John D. worked as an appraiser and a builder. No prior visitation. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service and Military Burial on Wednesday morning,

June 28th at 11:30 in Forest Lawn Cemetery, during which time John D.and his late wife, Jeanne will be remembered and laid to rest together. Flowers gratefully declined. Expressions of sympathy made to Elderwood at Oakwood Nursing Home, Hospice Unit No. 2, 200 Bassett Rd., Williamsville 14221 would be appreciated by the family.
