Niblock, Marion F. (nee Jenzen)

Of Williamsville, affectionately known as 'Grams,' died June 19, 2024 in Beechwood Continuing Care Center. She was 97. Marion was born July 4, 1926 in Buffalo, NY to Theodore and Ada Jenzen. She graduated from Amherst High School and received her RN degree from Millard Fillmore Hospital where she worked as a nurse for several years. In 1953, she was married to the late John G. Niblock. Committed to lifelong learning, Marion obtained several advanced degrees from the University at Buffalo; first a BA in nursing in 1970, then a school nurse teaching degree in 1981, an MS in Nursing in 1985, and a Nurse Practitioner degree in 1989. She enjoyed a long career in the Sweet Home School System where she worked as the school nurse and health teacher at several schools in the district. She was an advocate for kids and youth activities throughout her career and helped establish the Amherst Youth Foundation. After retiring, Marion continued her professional life by serving as a member of the State Board of Nursing until 2004. In her personal life, Marion enjoyed golf, gardening, traveling to Europe with her friends, and hosting Sunday dinners with her family. Marion is survived by two loving sons, Bill (Sue) and John (Masami), five accomplished grandchildren, and one-great grandchild. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 20 at 10:30 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 4007 Main St., Eggertsville. Friends will be received at 9:30 at the church.
