I graduated from Thiel College and then received my Master Degree in Industrial Safety Management from West Virginia University. My first job was in Detroit with National Steel. I was there for ten years and then went to work for Chrysler for twenty years. In 2008 when the economy turned bad, I was offered a lucrative retirement package and left. I was recruited by Bridgestone /Firestone in Des Moines Iowa at the worlds larger agricultural tire manufacturing plant. I have been here for seven years. It is the best job I have ever had. My work companions are great people and good friends. My wife wants me to retire but I keep telling her that I am having too much fun! Speaking of wife, Connie has been my wife and best friend for 20 years. When we married I had three sons and she had three sons. It was the “twisted” Brady Bunch. We were all together and it was quite a chore. It is difficult to get all the boys and their families together but when we do it is one big party! Connie is a nurse and she is currently the Women Veterans Program Manager at the Des Moines. My hobby is working and collecting antique cars. We currently have four: 1928 Model A Ford Phaeton, 1932 Packard sedan, 1941 Packard sedan and a 1964 Plymouth Valiant convertible. Connie and I do a lot of traveling including visiting the kids and our newest family addition, our first grandchild who lives outside of Washington DC.
